This episode opens a new conversation space between some of the most interesting voices in Latin American cinema: Encuentros, a MUBI podcast and La Corriente del Golfo Podcast.

Although they knew each other previously through social networks, this is the first time that Gael García Bernal and Carolina Sanín meet to think together about the relationship between cinema and acting with life itself. The Colombian writer enthusiastically presents a series of acting theories that lead to endearing anecdotes of the Mexican actor which help explain the important place that cinema occupies in our lives and his interest in portraying the most essential link on the big screen: friendship.

While speaking of the more intense and vital character of cinema, they also expose the inevitable effects of its violence, based on their experience as actors.
