By 2015, the CICIG had already set up cases that revealed the corruption of drug traffickers, politicians, and businessmen. That year the case "La línea" was released.
This case aroused the indignation of Guatemalans as never before in history. Those mobilizations became a benchmark for the region and as the investigation progressed, the foundations of power were shaken. What had appeared to be a small fraud in customs turned into a scandal that reached the presidential office.
Without having imagined it, citizens were about to change the course of history. Guatemala would never be the same again.
